F R Scott Limited was founded in 1945 by Fred Scott, as Ironmongers, and Heating and Refrigeration Engineers. The two sides of the business have run alongside each other in various locations across Hull, and since the early 1980’s they have been based in a 30,000 sq ft warehouse in the heart of Hull City Centre.

The ironmongery side of the business continues to thrive – supplying businesses across the region, large and small; carrying over 20,000 items on the shelf, allowing a quick response to customer needs.

The Heating Department offers a wide range of services involved in the installation and maintenance of commercial heating systems. Much of the work is done for local authorities, in schools and other public buildings.

Both sides of the business offer excellent service – with the average length of service being over 17 years; many employees having served 30 years plus - giving a solid base of highly experienced, knowledgeable staff.

The company is still family owned, being run by Fred’s Grandson and Great Grandson.
